Sebastián has been an Associate at G. Bitrán & Asociados since mid-2013. He has led or participated in a wide variety of projects, mainly linked to regulated markets, competition and antitrust, economic litigation and antidumping legislation. These projects have related to various sectors such as the timber industry, the food industry, the fishing industry, power generation and transmission, and health services. CCU, Arauco, Colbún and Aguas Andinas, and Citigroup Global Markets Inc., SCA and private equity fund P2Brasil are among the main companies he has advised in Chile.

Mr. Vergara graduated as an Industrial Civil Engineer and later obtained his Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from the University of Chile, both degrees being awarded with “Maximum Distinction”. During his studies he was an assistant professor in several courses related to economics, both undergraduate and postgraduate. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Economics at the School of Economics in Toulouse, France. He speaks Spanish, English and German.
